INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALLERS MOCK ASIAN TECHNICIANS!!

What is it this time? Once again we again witness a despicable act of racism carried out by supposed role models.

Barcelona & France’s Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembélé have been shown to be mocking Asian technicians in their hotel room.

The view was circulating on social media and the internet on Saturday afternoon. It included both international stars mocking and laughing at the technicians who had come to fix a technical issue in their room.

When translated into English, Dembélé appears to refer to them as ‘ugly faces’ and continues, ‘oh f*ck, what a language’. He then follows on with an extremely inappropriate question, “You’re [supposed] to be developed as a country, aren’t you?”

The pair are yet to comment on the issue which some stating that the video was recorded during Barcelona’s pre-season trip to Japan in the summer of 2019.

This disgraceful and disgusting behaviour from such high-level football stars is despicable. Yes, it may have come before the anti-racism stance became more widely accepted and backed, however that is no excuse for this.

It must be said that they both deserve the right to apologise and explain themselves. Both players should now realise how influential their actions are on young people and children as international stars and what effect, positive or negative, that they will have on the actions of those young minds.

This has to end. When will people start waking up to the fact that everyone deserves to be respected no matter their race, gender, sexuality, figure or appearance? Discrimination and racism especially have to be eradicated from society and we must learn that no one should ever be discriminated against for WHO THEY ARE!!

I may have gotten too passionate there, but I have to stand up for what I believe in and we all have to teach people that this behaviour will not be tolerated anymore.

The complacency and ignorance of people to not listen and not respect others have gone far too long.
