CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL PREVIEW

It’s the final and arguably the biggest game of the 2020/21 season. Who will be the next Champions of Europe? We don’t have long to wait with both teams now landed in Porto ahead of tomorrow night’s match.

It is Manchester City’s first Champions League Final and Chelsea’s 3rd and the club have already won European football’s biggest prize back in 2012.

History doesn’t always matter in Europe, but it does help quite significantly. The last two Champions League finals have seen debutants in the final stage lose without scoring, with Tottenham defeated by Liverpool in 2019 and current holders Bayern Munich narrowly overcoming debutants PSG, last year.

Can Man City do it? That is the question on everyone’s lips at this moment in time. Under Pep Guardiola, you have to say Man City hasn’t been that successful in the Champions League with this season the first time the Citizens have surpassed the Quarter-Final stage under their current boss.

Guardiola’s men are on the brink of getting a different, but impressive treble this season, if they overcome Thomas Tuchel’s blues tomorrow evening.

Tuchel, who only got the Chelsea job at the end of January, turned Chelsea’s fortunes around by getting them into the Top 4 from 9th place and getting them to an FA Cup Final and on top of that, overcoming Madrid’s top two to the book their place in this season’s UCL Final.

It’s a matchup that certainly fits the bill for an interesting and intriguing Champions League Final, one that you can guarantee will keep you on the edge of your seat!

The Champions League Final gets underway at 8pm, tomorrow evening. Live commentary is available for free on the UEFA website and I will be tweeting throughout the live match, so you won’t miss a single moment!
