ARE FSG HAVING A LAUGH?

FSG, Liverpool's owners are trying to call the poor card again

Here we go again, another trip down the winding road of complete and utter PR rubbish that gets dragged out by FSG every Summer.

Liverpool drags their heels more often than enough in transfer windows in the last few years when they were once the trail blazers of doing perfect business.

It is clear to see that once again they try to distract us with a shiny new toy early in the window to detract from the fact that they are at the heart of stingy and useless.

Alexis MacAllister is without question an incredible signing and a deal that not even the best optimists could have dreamed of pulling off. £35m is more than a bargain for a player who lifted the most coveted trophy in world football just 6 months ago.

But once again, as they did with Darwin Nunez last summer, they give us a big new singing early on and leave us wondering until the deadline hoping that we could do another decent deal.

Every Liverpool fan with at least an ounce of sense knows a full reinvestment in the squad is what we need this summer not just 1 signing. We need 3 midfielders and a defender at the very least to get back to winning trophies at the highest level.

Let it be known that Liverpool fans know what terrible owners could do to a club. FSG have over the last 13 years given Liverpool all the tools to get to the top, but it is very clear that in recent seasons they lack the ambition to get us back there.

We are living in a time where it is getting harder to become the best club in the world with more and more clubs spending large amounts of money and showing clear ambition to win things. On top of that we currently have the best manager in the world for just 3 more seasons, an opportunity which cannot be wasted.

Once again as has been reported, they cry that they have no money and they are under extreme financial restrictions, but if you believe that, then you certainly deserve everything you get. They want us to be the best club in the world but just don’t want to spend the money to get us there.

If this is the ride that they want us to get on without asking questions, then they can pack their bags and sell up because enough is enough. We can’t twiddle our thumbs with just 10 days to go before pre-season begins.
